Day 1

A little at a time...8:30 pm and as usual i am drunk. Well not quite but enjoying a little FITOU Les Figuiers 2003 with my tuna pizza while Extreme Home Makeover heehaws in the background. It is the perfect poorman's romantic evening. Just one of the perks of living in europe. Good wine at the gas station. Daywise uneventful. Friend who's taken up child psychology at local university dropped by to moan about 10 yr old son who she is afraid to discipline. Rushed to the hobby shop 10 min before closing for supplies - white foam board, moldable felt, shiney blue paper. Tomorrow a work day. Kids in tow. Forgive spelling please. In Friend Paul's basement we will start to build the puppets' hats . Its a wierd project because we have so much time to do it. Local philharmonic needs oversized props and masks. Apparently they are used to enormous waiting periods for this kind of thing. We are used to instant soup expectations. Kind of feels like tourism. DH wants attention now and my ADD has kicked in. doesnt make it any easier when the censor erases every 2nnd word you type....Writing certainly is a challenge.

First Time For Everything

Living "abroad" for almost 20 years in a seemingly timeless bubble, I thought I'd follow the example of my 13yr old and ask the question...IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE? It's a question more to myself than anything right now. Having discovered only yesterday that intelligent and healthily beligerant females of my own gen (x) do this. Of course I can't pretend to speak out with the elegance and informed confidence i've encountered over the last 8 hrs of surfing but oh well. Stream of conciousness. It's is a start and that's all I'm asking for. So,let's see what this becomes.
