just wondering

is it not ok to tell your 14 yr old to go to bed at 10 pm? what is the norm here people? am i too controlling? am i an overprotective mother? i, who smoked more weed at 14 than i ever have since, in my whole entire life? am i for some reason being overprotective?

other ways i make my daughter miserable:

not allowed to hang out at the mall
not allowed to hang out down-town
not allowed to chat on msn for more than 1 hr per day
not allowed to watch tv for more than one hr /day
not allowed to wear slinky tight short camisols to school
i force her to eat yogurt

yogurt? perhaps you go too far, lol.

our kids (15 and 13) go to bed at 9:30 on school nights.

no vid games during the week
certainly no 'hanging out' at the mall
nor downtown.
yes, chat restricted.

girls are harder than boys (everything's a fight with them), but they require a shorter leash.

you're doing fine.

as benjamin franklin said,
"early to bed, early to rise, makes a teenager healthy, wealthy + wise."
i wish my mom had made me go to bed at a reasonable hour when i was a teenager. it's hard enough getting out of bed in the morning after a good nights sleep + it's harder for teenagers biologically.
she'll thank you later.
it's a healthy habit.
